About Me

I am a Colorado artist living in Golden. My day job is as a mental health therapist for over 30 years, my art practice has always allowed me to look away from deep pain and dark themes to the light of the natural world. My art holds notes of whimsy, natural wonder and quiet solitude, the things that restore my own soul. Although I have done most types of art through the years, my heart belings to watercolor. What frustrates others about this medium, specifically control, is my favorite part. Ultimately it cannot be completly controled and one must surrender to it. Usually inspired first by color or even a specific paint (granualting colors I am looking at you!) The combination of color and mood drive my work. I love hidding specific bits of wonder in my works for those who look deeper, I am a therapist after all.
